If you use IBM’s Lotus Notes email software on your office or home computer then you might not know that you can access multiple email accounts.

This is a great time-saver because it means you don’t have to access different websites to view all your email accounts.

To add the online Yahoo! Mail email service to Lotus Notes, use the “Internet Mail” option from Lotus Notes Account settings.

Step-by-Step guide for setting up Yahoo! Mail on Lotus Notes:
  1. Open IBM Lotus Notes on your computer.
  2. Click Open from the file menu and then click Contacts.
  3. Click the New followed by Account.
  4. Choose a name for the Yahoo! Mail account, and type it into the input field.
  5. Enter “pop.mail.yahoo.com” into the Account Server Name box. Type your Yahoo! Mail username and password into the boxes. Select “POP” as the account type from the drop-down list under Protocol field. Tick Enable SSL to select this option. Click Save.
  6. You’ve now configured the incoming server for Yahoo! Mail on Lotus Notes and you can now set up the outgoing mail server.
  7. Click New in the main menu, followed by Account. Fill in the account name and password fields.
  8. Enter “smtp.mail.yahoo.com” into the Account Server Name box. Select SMTP from the account-type list. Tick the Enable SSL check box.
  9. Click Save and Close. You’re ready to use Yahoo! Mail on Lotus Notes.
