Where's the Time Stamp in iOS 7 SMS Text Messages?

Many Apple mobile device users are still getting to grips with the new look and tweaked features in the recently-released iOS 7 operating system for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

One question we've received is about the time stamp in SMS text messages on the Apple iPhone.

In previous versions of iOS each received text message displayed a time and date stamp (although in iOS 6 this didn't appear on all text messages, just some of them.) This was a useful feature if you needed to look back and check the timeline for a specific text message communication.

The good news is that in iOS 7 you can access a time and date stamp for each text message. The default view in the Messages app is to hide this info on some messages, but you can access it for every text message by touching the text bubble and swiping it to the left.
